Rebuild Missions Trip 2019 | Update #2

It was another great day on the Farm here in northwest Illinois!

What a fabulous group of Vineyard friends coming together to minister at New Life Farm.  On Tuesday, we enjoyed a visit from Pastor Mark Pope, Kathy Smarrella and Maddie Bratton.  They came from Mishawaka just to spend the day working with us and we loved having them be a part of the group!

We started out the day with a fabulous breakfast prepared by Ashley, one of the ladies here. After breakfast, we all split up into our teams. The roofing team was able to finish one side of the roof, even though it was extremely hot. They are amazing!

One group is framing the old barn for walls, and it is not an easy task to make straight walls for a 100-year-old barn that is definitely not square at all. But they're making progress!  Another group worked on cleaning out an old building. Ken, our resident electrician, wired it to be used for a teaching/learning center.  Our last team is made up of amazing workers doing a little bit of anything and everything.

These first two days have been great!  This place is called NEW LIFE Farm and I can’t help but see NEW LIFE all around me.  The 100-year-old barn being transformed into a new community center,  the old shed becoming a learning center and women’s lives being transformed by Jesus.  Wow!  NEW LIFE is amazing.   Thank you, Lord, for this opportunity to serve and for showing me the NEW LIFE you are bringing all around me here on the farm.
