Give Thanks to the Lord

On February 19, 2013, we lost our son, Jeremiah. He was born too early due to my inability to carry him. There are no words that can describe the pain and devastation we experienced. The enemy certainly does come to steal, kill, and destroy. We went through healing prayer and I believe I was healed. With our second son, I had a surgery to prevent the same thing from happening. I didn't want the surgery, but it was the safe and recommended thing to do. We joyously welcomed our son Caleb on September 19, 2014. When we became pregnant with our third son it was recommended that I have the same surgery again. I didn't want to. I wanted to trust God. I was alone in this decision. We had conflicting advice from doctors. My husband and I went up for prayer many weekends. I asked him to pray about it and when he did, he felt God telling him to trust him as well. He said that trusting God meant trusting him in good and bad. Staying faithful and praising him whether he gave us this baby or not. That was the hardest part of the decision for me. We decided to do something that no one could really understand. Even fellow Christians told us to have the surgery or get another opinion. It was frustrating to have other believers planting doubt in our faith. But even if it was just us and God, we were ready to step out in faith. God proved Himself faithful! After a wonderful pregnancy without complication, I gave birth to our third son, Levi, on March 1, 2016, at 39 and 1/2 weeks. He is a very healthy and beautiful boy. Psalm 105:1 "Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done."
