Fasting - Day 2
November 14, 2017
So, you have probably been fasting for a little over 24 hours now. I would ask that over the next 24 hours of your fast that you would begin to pray for the ministry time during Chasing God. While a lot of great things will take place during Chasing God, including great speakers and dynamic worship, the ministry time is a particularly powerful part of Chasing God. Here are a few suggestions to pray for regarding ministry time:
- Pray that the speakers and Vineyard leaders hear from God on how to direct ministry time with the exact God-inspired prayer opportunities.
- Pray people will be miraculously healed. In addition to the personal benefit, a miracle can be by creating a real sense of God’s love and provision for an individual, this can also be a real boast of faith for all those who witness and hear about it — ultimately bringing more glory to Jesus Christ!
- Pray that people will repent of their sins and come to Jesus. While we certainly trust God’s presence to be powerful and many to be healed, the most important thing is for more people to come to Jesus. So, pray that any unbelievers that come will make Jesus their savior.
- Invite the Holy Spirit into every aspect of the ministry time. “[God] is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” (Ephesians 3:20). We often don’t make big enough asks, and God wants to do some amazing things. So ask God to take the lead and be the leader of ministry time each night.
Don’t forget to consider that while many of us will come to receive something from God, He may want to use you. I have found that some of my most beneficial moments have come while praying for others. So be open to the idea that someone may need you to pray for them.
